Frank, Let me take you back to the summer of '69 when you played at the VIP Lounge in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. I used to come in every evening after working at Top O' the Mast and listen to your band, "Frankie Vincent and the Arist-O-Cats." I thought you were great then and would go far in life. I am not surprised at all that you and Joey have become such great actors.Congratulations on all your success!

Hi Mr Vincent, my name is Pav and I live in England. I am a British of indian desent. I would like to ask if you would like to come to my wedding in June 2011 in England. I know it is a bizarre request but it would be a great honour if you could. Perhaps you could have a holiday over here at the same time. The reason I am asking you is because I am a Massive fan of all you're work, most notably of The Sopranos. I would consider myself to be one of the biggest fans out there, and have seen each episode hundreds of times. I know I sound like a geek or weirdo but Im not really and I am quite normal! Im 24yrs old, own a convenience store business and hope to have a lot more business interests in the future! My wedding next year is set to be a big wedding even by Indian wedding standards! with over 600 people expected. Anyway, If you find time to reply back, and hope you can make time to come even though it is a silly request but a Huuuge honour all the same. Regards, Pav Nahal

Signore Vincenzo, Your movie Chicago Overcoat is HUUUUUGGGGGEEEE, just like Billy Fucillo would say, HUUUUGGGGEEEE ! My dad is your age, saw the film and he loved it. He's old school, just like you. He's not afraid of anyone and his "look" is louder than a scream - just like yours. He's about Pesci's height and sometimes I wonder if they're actually brothers. Movies like yours remind ungrateful utes' what undivided respect is. Aside from the obvious story line, the film displays a sense of ones pride regardless the lengths one is willing to go to defend it. In the end, this is what we all answer to when the day comes. cent'anni signore Vincenzo !

Dear Mr. Vincent, As a 19 year old Italian-American from Boston with a little bit of Irish blood tossed in, I feel as if your characters you portray are brought to life and are often truly, honest. From my early days watching movies like Raging Bull and Goodfellas, your face became just as familiar De Niro or Pesci. After I became a Sopranos fan, it only sealed the deal for me and my close friends of your talent. We quote your characters so often that a lot of my pals tell me to "zip it". I am searching for a Chicago Overcoat to watch and furthermore, I love to watch the gorgeous, Kathrine Narducci. Also, I hear your a musician and would love to hear an album. So Mr. Vincent, keep on doing excellent work and all the best for your family and friends. Salud, Brendan

You were definitely the best boss of the Lupertazzis, and really carried your role better than Tony Soprano carried his. They should never have let you get whacked. It was a great rivalry. Good luck. Frank, I am a long time fan who greatly appreciates your talent and passion for your crafts. I especially enjoyed your book. My ultimate Man's Man is my father: He grew up in humble surroundings in the Bronx during the Depression and was able to go to college only because of the GI Bill after serving in Korea. He has always taken care of his family, providing for us during good times and difficult times. My parents have been married for 50 years plus. He is a wonderful and caring grandfather to my children and treats my wife as if she were his own daughter. Most importantly, he treats everyone he encounters with the utmost respect and courtesy. When we stayed in hotel rooms on family trips, he instructed my brother and me to leave the room "cleaner than we found it" so as to minimally burden the maids. He leaves $2 tips for $4 cups of coffee. In his retirement, he is active in the community assisting disabled veterans and minorities in putting together business plans and resumes for job searches. I know you will agree that this man is the consummate "Man's Man" in every sense of the word. I will look forward to your continued work. Kind regards, Mark

Hello Mr. Vincent; I was listening to the radio(104.3), and I was not aware that you were raised in the greenville section of JC. I grew up there myself back in the 60's and 70's before the neighborhood became the hood! I was fortunate enough to see what was coming down the line so my family packed the bags and hit the road to the west coast. I went to PS. #40 school on ocean ave. I was also christened at St. Pauls and attended church there-when I went. Unfortunately, I had to attend Snyder HS, and could only take a year of it. I quit and joined the Air Force in 76. I now work at the VA hospital in East Orange, in the boiler plant as a boiler operator-it's a living. I'm currently living in Matawan and things are good. I would get my hair cuts at Contes on Ocean And boy I remember the hot open roast beef sandwiches at the A/T diner near Riches chicken market. Well I guess that I just wanted to touch base with a success from the old neighborhood. I wish you continued success and good health. Regards, Dave Hallman

I heard about the beer commercials being pulled. Rather than a boycott, why don't you ask all of the people who support you to go out on a certain day and buy a six pack of the beer? This would show them how effective the commercials really are (or were)! Good luck!

Frank, I have long admired your work. You are a very handsome man. I believe America is too sensitive these days. If I don't like a show or a commercial, I have the right to change the channel or not purchase that product. I do not have to inflict my opinions or beliefs on others. I know the difference between reality and fiction. I'm disheartened by the small-mindedness of people. Everybody needs to GROW UP. It's not all about them. It is a matter of accepting other people's differences. I am an American of Italian descent and very proud of it. I also know that every nationality has its "good" and "bad". Keep up the great work. I will continue to support your movies/appearances regardless of others opinions.

Hello Frank, first let me say that my wife and I have enjoyed your work for years. Your acting is compelling and authentic. As an Italian-American from Chicago, I must say that your portrayals strike a chord with me. Let me also say that I am dismayed that the highly entertaining "protection" beer commercials are being pulled! I personally find them funny. (funny how?) Let me also say that I met Mr. Rago many years ago and found him to be a sincere and likeable guy. However, I think he's got to lighten up a bit. To me, the commercials in question are art. I understand Mr. Rago's concern about stereotyping, but come on! I have emailed Mr. Rago to voice my opinion. I support your work and will continue to enjoy your artful portrayals. Thank you, G. Grasselle, Chicago

Enjoy watching your flicks w/ Pesci and Deneiro; Joe Pesci kicks the sh** out of you in Raging Bull; you get your revenge at the end of Casino. Deneiro beats the sh** out of Joe Pesci in Raging Bull; Joe Pesci exacts his revenge by nearly blowing Deneiro up at the end of Casino; Not to mention you meet your untimely end in Goodfella's. Seriously though, you three actors should receive some type of recognition, as you all have blended well together throughout your illustrious careers

Mr. Vincent, It was a genuine honor and pleasure to meet you, Bobby Schirippa, Vinny Pastore, and Dan Grimaldi today at the wine tasting at Resorts Atlantic City. The wines were truly exceptional with the Pinot Grigio standing out at the top with its notes of apples and pears. Your graciousness towards my wife Susan and myself was truly a testament to yourself as a gentleman and a scholar in such a graceless age that we find ourselves living in. We thank you and hope for you and the other gentlemen much success in your future endeavors. Bill Prechtl Woodbridge, NJ

Dear Frank Vincent, Let me tell you what you mean to my friends and I in Jersey...a lot!! Not only have you donned the wiseguy roles for decades, but your book has recently been my guide to life. You are a man's man's MAN. Thanks to you, I am watching Westerns, war flix, some great sports flix, and wiseguy flix from back in the day I never knew about (On the Waterfront, Key Largo). I have enjoyed smoking some of the finest cigars around, am looking into trying yours. I have tried your recipes such as sausage and peppers, and broccoli rabe. I am planning a trip to Vegas. and I've followed your style tips, dating tips, and music tips. You're the man, Frank. Your classy pizzaz and sharp taste for the action should be noted for generations to come. I look forward to meeting you in the near future somehow. Frank, It was a pleasure meeting you at Vincent's Barber Shop today. I am a big fan,I have been following your career for some time now, and I must say you are one of the most talented actors to hit the screen. Every movie that I have seen you master it.And of course the most watched series I think on HBO (The Sopranos)I can't wait to see you playing an NYPD Detective MAN THAT'S GOING TAKE ALOT GETTING USE TO? Because how your stereotyped in all the parts you have played? But Like I said before you will master this role like you do always. Thanks for the pictures and I heard threw the grapevine that your wife was ill, Please a very speedy recovery to her. I would love to one day if you would let me know when your shooting to let myself and my daughter on the set? It would really be a great thrill to me. Thanks so much and always the best. JJ.

Frank...We're the same age, I'm from Rutherford and we used to go to Secaucus to drink when we were kids because we could get served there. After seeing your younger pictures in your book, I realized that we had met once way back, when we were 17 or so. Anyway, after a long career in the Army I now live in NC, but I always remember the happy times growing up in north Jersey and I feel for my kids and grandkids, who can never know what I'm talking about. I love your work and really liked the book, although a little late (30 years?) for me. What I urge you to do, Frank, is write a similar book for girls about what kind of guy to look for and what kind to stay away from. I have three daughters and three granddaughters, so I'm in line for six copies! All the best, Frank, and if you are ever down here...let's have a Davidoff!

Frank - you're a lifesaver. I am recently divorced after 27 great years of marriage. Needing some 'refresher' training' on how to date (let's say I got a little rusty), I got your book - oh! fantastic. After the second date with a new special lady, we ran into her 'ex', funny how these things happen. I followed your advice to a T, out of earshot from her and in a gentlemanly manner, I told him I collected guns (which I do), told him I was the new sheriff in town and he better ride out by sundown, told him not to call again for 'health reasons'(his health), this jabeep just didnt get it. I parted with 'now go home and get your f$%^&*g shine box' - he said 'huh?'. I told him to rent 'Goodfellas'. Obviously not a man's man. I filled in my lady later (let your imagination roam). The ex has not been seen or heard from since. I never lacked confidence or presence, just technique. Thanks a million for the filling that gap Frank. Marco G.

I am writing on behalf of the silent auction committee for CentraState Medical Center in Freehold NJ. I have been asked to gather donations for the hospitals annual gala celebration, to be held this year on 11/22/08. The theme of the event is A Night at the Oscars and attracts over 400 people from our community to help benefit the hospital. I last chaired the auction 3 years ago (and you were kind enough to send some autographed photos!!) and it was a great success. This year, they want me to do even better, so I am reaching out to those who have helped us in the past. Your time and consideration are greatly appreciated. You can contact me for further details and for any official letters from the foundation that you may need. Thank you in advance Dr. Jim Matera nephwop@aol.com 732-656-0687

Again I would like to apologize for the comment that guy made. I've followed Frank's career for many years and have enjoyed his work immensely. Because he is such a strong and charasmatic personality, I believe that some directors and writers over the years have avoided casting him in their productions as they fear he will overshadow the lead characters. This is proven in regards to The Sopranos, as Frank was only brought on at the end of the series. He easily stole the scenes that he shared with Jimmy Gandolfini, however unintentional it may have been. Hope to meet you in person someday Frank. Wishing you every success. Al Gonzales. The characters you play in each and every role you take on seems so authentic and realistic... you have also stayed very consistent in each role. Frank, The "Man's Man" book is brilliant! That's advice every guy needs. Check this out. I was out in NYC last week for business, so naturally I look a few places up in your Mangia chapter - I take my wife to Pastis and she loves it, the next night I take my business associate to Smith and Woolensky and had a meal to remember! Now, having read your book twice, when I stepped up to the bar at Smith's (I had a 10 minute wait), I order a martini. And I say to the bartender "give me a sapphire martini, very dry, three olives". The bartender gives me the man's man nod and takes his time making it right. After I get my drink, the schmuck next to me starts asking for some cheap-o gin when the bartender cuts him off and informs him they don't carry it. Flustered, he points to my drink and says "I'll have one of those, on the rocks"! You should have seen the look the bartender gave this guy. He almost told him to go get his shinebox! Hi Mr. Vincent, I'd like to tell you that you're a terrific perfomer. It was so good to see you in Spike Lee's two of the best movies Do The Right Thing and Jungle Fever! I liked Phil Leotardo so much just because it was played by you, a combine of humor and drama. Hands up for you!

Dear mr.Vincent, I'am a fan (from the Netherlands) in all the movies when your playing that "bad guy". Ill watch the most scenes over and over again becouse i like those details in some scenes. For example: At the end in Casino ,when you wacked Joe Pesci and his brother in the cornfield, was the sound (kloenk, kloenk) an funny detail. Evens when their lying in the grave they stil stay's the though guys (you mother****er). Evens "Goodfellas" has his nice details. Your personage in "The Sopranos" makes the serie also complete and ill hope to discover some more movies where you play that typical personage. Greetings from "Holland", an hope to meet! Franklin Geraerts

I just read "Guy's Guide to be a Man's Man", and as a woman you told the truth about many issues. And your chapter on Cigar Smoking was so simple that I was able to smoke with my Male co workers one evening when we went out for some drinks. I must ask though, man and Hawaiian Shirts? How bad is it, my boyfriend follows most of everything else, but will not dismiss these shirts. Thank You for a wonderful book, and for being such a great actor.

Hey, Frank. My name's Al. I'm from jolly old Engl.... I'll just say England. Bad weather, worse food and Mary-God Damn-Poppins don't exactly spell Jolly for me. I just wanted to say I'm a big fan of your work, and I mean that sincerely. Whether it's Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull or Soprano's or maybe things not as well known but still as good. (I recently bought Smokin' Stogies featuring Tony Sirico). I can't wait for this new film of yours to come out. A friend told me about it and I was confused as to why you were playing an Asian hitman. It occurred to me he said ageing but still. I hope, on my very soul, I can meet you one day. You ARE (not were, as I still watch it) my favourite character on the Sopranos. My girlfriend is more into Jackie Jr (Season 2 and 3) silly girl. I'll make her see the error of her ways, h-ha. Best, sincerest and fondest regards, Al. RSVP

I have recently downloaded and cased the whole six series of the Sopranos and I have been watching, with my wife, up to three episodes each evening. In the UK the series were aired quite late into the evening on channel 4, mainly I suspect because of the liberal sprinkling of the C word, and this meant that I missed chunks of the story because of working schedule. I have got to say that I am so impressed with the way the story links seamlessly through each episode and the sheer talent of all the people involved in making this piece of art. As the stories unfold in almost real time it has been possible for me to enjoy seeing characters like your own develop and the whole experience has been a treat. Now I have been able, at last, to feast........ Thank you for your participation in the whole project. You must be very proud. With Kind regards from Essex, England Mike Midson and family
